The lease, awarded to Hughes Missile Systems Co. by USAF/AFMC Aeronautical Systems Center (ASC), is a sole source follow-on contractual action to provide for the Capital Type Rehabilitation project to provide Thermal Energy Storage (TES) and provide/activate system on a cost reimbursement basis. Work will be performed at Air Force Plant 44 which is a Government-Owned Contractor Operated (GOCO) plant. Project award is anticipated to Hughes Missile Systems Co. which has operated and been responsible for Air Force Plant 44 for the past 43 years.
