Officer, 617-238-7687. The Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Air
Traffic and Airway Facilities Divisions are seeking contractor
services to assist in the site selection process for a new consolidated
Terminal Radar Approach Control (TRACON) facility in the New England
Region. The contractor will be required to develop a plan and
methodology to be used by the FAA Site Selection Team, address human
resource, operational and cost criteria for evaluation by the team,
participate in team meetings, provide monthly progress reports and
provide a final report detailing the team's recommended location.
Basically, the contractor will be required to support site selection
through dynamic and continuous participation in the process.
Solicitation number DTFA12-96-R-00019 should be available by December
1, 1995, requiring separate cost and technical proposals both due by
the closing date of January 3, 1996. Requests for solicitation packages
will be honored until supply is exhausted. Special Note for Minority,
Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of
Transportation (DOT), Office of small and Disadvantaged Business
Utilization (OSDBU), has programs to assist minority, women-owned and
disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working
capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are
available under the DOT Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime
interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum
line of credit is $500,000. For further information and applicable
