747-5273. Purchase of pick-up camper, slide-in, type. Size: Eleven
foot, slide in truck camper. This unit must be of the overcab design
that will safely fit a one-ton, Chevy, six passenger truck with dual
rear wheels. The combined unit weight plus 500 pounds of personnel and
equipment must not exceed the maximum load capacity of the camper
truck, which is 4500 pounds. Construction: 2'' x 2'' or 1'' x 4''
framing, metal exterior finish, 2'' rafter ceiling with insulation,
with a minimum of R7 insulation factor, and a one piece rubber roof.
Insulated sidewalls, with a minimum of R7 insulation factor, and lower
body assembly including 2'' x 2'' framing floor construction, also
with R7 insulation. Windows should be tinted split glass with screens
and storms. An exhaust vent in the ceiling for the main living area of
escape design. Prefer that the access door be placed in the passenger
side of vehicle but will consider rear entrance. Propane System:
Minimum of 40 pound capacity. The camper must have a gas pollution
alarm installed in the shell. The propane compartment must be large
enough for two propane bottles with auto changeover regulator, and
visual LPG level gauge. Access from exterior of the camper only. POWER
CONVERTER: The system must be capable of converting 110V to 12V DC
(miminum 30 AMP capability). The system contains an auxiliary battery.
Breaker Box: Capable of handling as a minimum 32 Amps. Monitor Panel:
Capable of monitoring the back-up battery level, fresh water tank
level, gray water level, and solid holding tank level. Water Heater: 6
gallon water heater. Power Cord: Must be heavy duty design for site
power hook-up. Interior: Ceiling height must be a minimum of six feet.
Interior walls must be wood paneling, oak finish or the equivalent.
All seats/sofa must be foam rubber pads, cloth covering that is stain
and water resistant. The floor must be covered with linoleum in a
complementary pattern. Air Conditioning: 11,000 BTU, roof mounted, this
system must be capable of cooling the interior of the camper to 72
degrees. In addition, the A/C must be electrically wired on its own
separate breaker and need not have a back-up power source. Heater: The
system must be capable of maintaining a constant 68 degrees inside the
camper. The system should be a mobile home propane furnace with ducted
wall vents and thermostatically controlled. The heater system must be
a minimum of 19,500 BTU, and equipped with a blower and automatic
ignition. BED: Contained in the overcab section of the camper. Must be
at least five inches of foam rubber mattress in a durable, stain
resistant cloth material. Curtains: Must be capable of completely
covering the window opening, hung on a top and bottom curtain rods, in
a complementary material. Sinks: Double bowl stainless steel sink with
hardwood sink cover. Refrigerator: 5 cubic foot with 2 way operation
(120 Volt AC, Propane). Stove/Oven: 3 burner cook top with oven.
Bathroom: Separate shower stall, large lave bowl, fresh water flush
toilet and medicine cabinet with mirrored door. Plumbing: All plumbing
must be routed as close to the interior as possible and thoroughly
insulated to prevent freezing. Holding Tanks: 30 gal fresh water tank,
22 gal gray water tank, 28 gal black water tank. Safety Equipment:
Smoke detector, LPG Leak detector, fire extinguisher. Options: The
following are optional items needed on the camper. Visual LPG level
gauge, storm windows, dead bolt lock, sewer hose compartment, rubber
roof, hydraulic jacks and swing out brackets (for dual tires). Options:
The following are quality of life enhancement items and are required t
be installed in each camper. 13 inch RCA* color television, Goldstar
2 head video cassette player, AM/FM cassette stero radio* mounted or
installed in shelves with minimum of 2 speakers, television antenna
(mounted on roof) Domestic, 700 watt microwave oven (built in). *Brand
