The work to be performed under this project involves the following items: A. Building No. 5 - male Dormitory Building -remove asbestos in the hot water storage room and the boiler room. Replace approximately 120 door assemblies with labeled door assemblies. Provide fire rated walls at specific locations. Replace service sinks and piping with new ones. B. Building No. 7 - Boiler House - remove all asbestos in the vacant boiler house. The estimated construction cost range is less than $100,000 to $250,000. The estimated completion time is 140 calendar less than days. Plans and Specifications will be available on November 30, 1995, from the office of the Architect/Engineer, Gastinger and Walker Architects, 810 Baltimore Street, Kansas City, Missouri 64105, contact Louis Zarr (816) 421-8200 for additional information regarding this project. Collect calls will not be accepted. It is emphasized that requests for plans and specifications shall be directed to the A/E firm isted above to ensure proper handling of requests. Requests will be answered on a first-come, first-serve basis until supplies are exhausted. For requests made after the supply is exhausted, the Contracting Officer may determine whether payment of a fee is warranted. The non-refundable fee shall not exceed the actual cost of duplication of the IFB documents, plus COD charges. A pre-bid walk-thru is scheduled for January 19, 1996, at 10:00 a.m. local time.
