U -- ON-SITE MASTER OF SCIENCE PROGRAM WITH CONCENTRATION IN ACOUSTICS SOL N66604-96-R-A216 DUE 122895 POC Contact Debra Kubel, Contracting Officer at (401) 841-2442 X291 FAX: (401) 841-4820 The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport, RI has a requirement to establish an on-site graduate program for a Master of Science degree with a concentration in Acoustics at Newport, RI and New London, CT. A Firm Fixed Price type contract is anticipated. The anticipated period of performance is approximately 45 months. This includes the base year of approximately nine months and three, one year options. The contractor shall provide a program of graduate level courses leading to the degree of Master of Science in Sonar Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Ocean Engineering with a concentration in Acoustics. The courses shall be taught at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport and at the New London Detachment at a facility to be supplied by the government. The first two courses of the New London program shall be taught at the New London Detachment, and thereafter, at the Newport Laboratory. The total program shall consist of ten, three credit courses and a Math Review. The formal course structure shall provide instruction and course credit in the following subject areas: Fundamentals of Acoustics, Underwater Acoustics I, Sonar Signal Processing, DigitalSignal Processing, Transduction/ Electroacoustic Transducers, Sonar System Engineering, Underwater Acoustics II, Random Variables and Processes, and 2 electives. Class size will be approximately thirty students each. The offeror must be within a seventy-five mile radius of NUWCDIVNPT. Award will be made on a Low Cost Technically Acceptable basis.
