A -- DEVELOPMENT AND PRODUCTION OF THE CCS MK2 PROGRAM D0 BLOCK 1 C UPGRADE TO THE CCS MK2 PROGRAM D0 BLOCK 1 A/B. SOL N00024-96-R-6215 POC Heather Jackson, Contracts Specialist, SEA 02621H, 703-602-7703. The Naval Sea Systems Command, SEA 0262, intends to issue RFP N00024-96-R-6215 to Raytheon Electronics Systems, 1847 W. Main Road, Portsmouth, RI 02871, on a sole source basis for the development and production of the Block 1C upgrade to the MK2 Submarine Combat Control System (CCS MK2) Program D0 Block 1A/B. Efforts included in this procurement are the CCS MK2 Block 1C software upgrade, hardware design, hardware/software integration, testing, logistics support development, and associated program management. In addition, this contract will contain options for production of up to 43 upgrade kits. Raytheon Electronics Systems, as the developer and sole producer of the basic CCS MK Program D0 and Program D0 Block 1A/B, is uniquely qualified to perform this effort since Raytheon possesses the requisite knowledge and capability to complete this work in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
