The Coastal Systems Station, NSWC, DD, is seeking sources for a towed underwater acoustic source for potential application to acoustic mine sweeping. The towed acoustic source must have minimum 160 dB output, be self-powered (e.g., battery, water, but not from towing vessel), have a controllable acoustic signature (load program prior to towing, or controlled through a cable), and function at tow speeds of twenty to thirty knots.
