Under Statutory Authority 10 USC 2304(c)(1), the U. S. Coast Guard anticipates entering into sole source procurement negotiations with Associated Electronic Systems, Inc. (AES) of East Hartford, Connecticut to establish an annual contract for inspection, troubleshooting, maintenance, repair and upgrading of an ''Autcocall'' fire protection alarm system . The contract will include repair service and periodic inspections and tests required to keep the fire alarm system and its components in a operative condition and in compliance with the most recent provisions of National Fire Protection Association (NEPA) 72, and all related NFPA codes. The contractor shall be an authorized representative of the Autocall Division of Federal Signals Corporation. The contractor shall employ factory trained and certified technicians and engineers to perform work on this contract. It has been determined that the Government's minimum needs can best be served by one source.(See Note 22) (0307)
