This project provides for renovations and modifications to residential units in the Cardinal Heights subdivision of Pope Air Force Base, North Carolina. The work consists of the removal and replacement of existing ceramic tile floors, wainscot, showers and bathtubs, gypsum board wall and ceiling substrates and replacement with cementitious backer board, removal and replacement of vanity cabinets and sinks, removal of existing linen shelving and replacement with linen cabinets, removal of medicine cabinets, installation of wall mirrors, removal and reinstallation of existing water closets, removal and replacement of miscellaneous bath accessories, miscellaneous framing, installation of shower doors, and associated plumbing and electrical work. There are approximately 34 bathrooms to be renovated under this project. Performance time is 280 calendar days. The magnitude of this project is between $100,000 and $250,000. This proposed acquisition is being considered for 100% set aside for small disadvantaged firms (SDB). Interested SDB firms need to submit their interest not later than 19 Nov 95 and provide evidence of eligibility. If adequate interest is not received from SDB firms, the solicitation will be issued unrestricted; therefore, replies are requested from all business concerns. SDB eligibility evidence to include performance references, previous similar projects completed, and positive statement of eligibility as a socially and economically disadvantaged business concern, along with bonding capability.
