The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has a need, under the simplified acquisition procedures, for smalll business-small purchase set-aside, multiple-award Purchase Orders for the following service beginning in Fiscal Year 1996. This requirement is for special investigators (SIs) to conduct background investigations (BIs) on applicants for potential employment with the FBI, reinvestigations on current, FBI, Department of Justice, U.S. Court, and U.S. Attorney's employees. SIs will also do BIs on special inquries; such as, Department of Energy, Foreign Intelligence, and Security Programs. BIs shall consist of, but not limited to, interviewing candidates, neighborhood and employment verification, interview of references and associates, and various record checks. The SI must be a former Federal Investigator who was previously employed in an offical capacity as an Investigator with a Federal Agency. This notice is for Region FIVE, which consists of New York and Vermont. This requirement is contingent upon Fiscal Year funding (Fiscal Year being 10/01/95 - 09/30/96).
