PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE: Provide all labor, material, equipment, transportation, and supervision necessary to reshingle the station/boathouse/equipment bldgs and garage, at USCG Group Moriches, East Moriches, NY (Suffolk County). Work includes new cedar shingles, repaint wood porch railings/soffit; repaint all fascia boards, corner boards and overhead door jambs; remove and dispose of approx. 42 lf of lead paint off porch railings; and related incidental work. Performance time: 120 days from receipt of NTP. Project includes an Option Bid item to reroof the ANT garage bldg, including new asphalt/fiberglass shingles, new gutters, downspouts and related incidental work. This procurement is being issued pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration program and is open for bidding to both small and large business concerns. INFORMATION PERTAINING TO MINORITY, WOMAN OWNED, AND DISADVANTAGED ENTERPRISES: The Department of Transportation (DOT) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Utilization (OSDBU), has programs to assist minority, woman-owned, and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short term working capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program nables firms to apply for bid, payment, and performance bonds up to $1.0 millin per contract. The DOT provides an 80% guaranty on the bond amount to a suret against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT Short Term LendingProram (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. he maximum line of credit is $500,000.
