the Aeronautical Charting and Cartography (AC&C), intends to negotiate
on a sole source basis with Computing Information Services (CIS.PUB)
for a Firm-Fixed Price Contract for computer hardware, software and
warranty which includes; Intel Open Server Integration; Setup; Testing
and SCO UNIX Tuning; UNIVERSE Implementation with Peripheral Devices;
Modifications and conversion of existing AC&CD CIS.PUB, Rel. 5.0 to
upgrade to CIS.PUB, Rel. 7.1, to include Windows Code File Look-Up,
Rel. 7.1 Sales Analysis; CIS.PUB Zip to City State implementation;
CIS.PUB Postnet Barcode implementation for printing on Printronix
emulation printers; Support with integration with local Windows PC~s
and terminal users; Intel Xpress/vm MX P/66 Dual Symetric Pentium
Application Tower Server with L2 write back Mxpress and SCO UNIX Open
Server MPX operating system, 11 drive bays (3 ea. 5.25~, 8 ea. 3.5~),
396 watt power supply, 96MB ECC main memory, 512KB Cache memory, EISA
Bus, 3 ea. 2.1 GB 8ms hard disk drives with Fast-Wide Dual Ported SCSI,
1.44 MB Floppy drive, HQ VGA Monochrome Monitor, Alpha Research SCSI
Controller with 16MB RAM, Ethernet Controller Board with Combo RJ-45
and Coax, 2 ea. 4.0-8.0GB 4mm DAT Tape Backup, 32 serial ports, active,
intelligent DigiBoard device; Site license for 50 user SCO UNIX Open
Server MPX and UNIVERSE RDBMS trade-up; Provide one (1) year warranty
with on-site service for the dual processor Pentium server hardware
upon Government Acceptance; provide ninty (90) days of performance
tuning on the upgraded system for application and operating
system/RDBMS performance. Hardware must be guaranteed to support
CIS.PUB Rel. 7.1, SCO UNIX Open Server MPX and UNIVERSE RDBMS Software.
Software modifications, conversion and upgrading must be transparent to
users. System, after installation and training, must be certified as
maintainable by Intel and AC&C. Responsible sources intending to
respond shall submit a writen narrative statement of capability,
including detailed technical information and other technical literature
demonstrating the ability to meet the above requirements, along with
certificate of legal authority to modify/maintain software. The
Government reserves the right to inspect the vendor~s facility.
Information on pricing must indicate an advantage to the Government.
Information on GSA pricing should also be included if applicable. The
response must be sufficient to permit agency analysis to establish a
bona fide capability to meet the requirements. VENDORS MUST BE ABLE TO
ENSURE COMPATIBILITY WITH EXISTING MIPS SYSTEM. Telephonic responses
shall not be accepted. Failure to submit documentation will result in
the Government proceeding as above. Please refer to Solicitation No.
