ELECTRONIC SYSTEMS CENTER SOFTWARE CAPABILITIES EVALUATION (SCE) REQUIREMENT Joe Farinello, Point of Contact. It is the intent of Electronics Systems Center (ESC) to consider having all prospective offerors have a Software Capability Evaluation (SCE) accomplished prior to submission of proposals for all ESC software-intensive acquisitions. These SCEs must be conducted by a Government approved SCE Contractor and the results submitted with proposals. This requirement will be applicable for all contracts under ESC procurement. ESC is planning awards to three independent 8(a) contractors in January 1996 for SCE Support Services. These contractors will be the Government approved SCE contractors. Selection of a particular SCE Contractor for a specific evaluation will be made by ESC, and SCEs will be conducted on a pay as you go basis. SCEs will be scheduled by ESC/ENS on a first come first serve basis. These SCEs could begin as soon as possible and be applicable for RFPs released after 30 September 1996.
