This solicitation is for Improve Mercury Family Housing, Phase II, Project No. CZQZ90-0014 at Cannon AFB, New Mexico. Project includes the whole-house renovations and additions to thirty-two (32) 2,300-2,600 square feet duplex residential units, twenty two (22) 1,100-1,900 square feet single family residential units, and forty-five (45) 680 square feet attached or detached carports. The general construction includes: Demolition of existing building systems to include asbestos and lead paint abatement. Installation of new architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical systems. Construction of new site improvements to include playground and recreational facilities, landscaping and paving. Magnitude of this project is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. Performance time is 500 calendar days. The proposed contract listed here is being considered for 100% set-aside for small disadvantaged business (SDB) concerns. Interested SDB concerns that meet this criteria who wish to be considered in accordance with Public Law and Federal Acquisition Regulations should, as early as possible, but not later than 15 days of this notice, indicate interest by providing to the Contracting Officer evidence of capability to perform (including references for similar work with points of contact, telephone numbers and contract numbers), letter from bonding company certifying maximum level of bonding for the proposed project, affirmative statement requesting set-aside action and intent to bid, a positive statement of eligibility as a small, socially and economically disadvantaged business concern and a nonrefundable check of $92.00 made payable to the Treasurer of the United States for the solicitation package. Even if you have sent evidence of SDB eligibility on a prior solicitation, you must submit documentation that will become a part of this solicitation file. If adequate interest is not received from SDB concerns within 15 days of this notice, this solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis without further notice. Therefore, replies to this notice are requested from all business concerns as well as from SDB concerns. Firms should indicate whether they are women owned, small or large business concerns. Also firms should state if they are interested as a prime contractor or as a subcontractor. IFB will be issued on or about 10 Dec 95. Site visit is scheduled for 15 Dec 95. Bid opening is set for 10 Jan 96. There will be a nonrefundable charge of $92.00 for this solicitation.
