(202)720-9891 The Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has a
requirement to develop 10 (ten) Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point
(HACCP) Generic Models for the implementation of the Pathogen
Reduction HACCP regulation. FSIS is soliciting proposals from qualified
sources with scientific expertise to develop generic models for use by
regulated companies with limited knowledge of HACCP, particularly by
small establishments that may have limited technical resources. The
purpose of the models is to provide guidance in devising plant-specific
HACCP plans. Sources will be expected to involve a variety of subject
matter experts (i.e. academics, industry representative, public health
officials, and consumers). FSIS estimates a total performance period
of 3 months. Offerors may submit proposals for the total project or for
one or more of the individual models. Solicitation packages will be
available on or about November 6, 1995. Request for solicitation
documents must be made in writing and may be faxed to 202-690-1814. No
telephone requests will be honored. All responsible sources may submit
