(703)604-6100 The Naval Air Systems Command intends to contract with
Allison Engine Company, Indianapolis, IN 46206 for the repair of three
T56 engines associated with P-3 aircraft of the Royal Thai Navy. The
effort will include incorporation of kits as prescribed by Power Plant
Change (PPC) No. 26. Allison, the designer, developer and sole
manufacturer of the T56 is the only source capable of completing the
effort in time to satisfy the Thai Navy's requirements. Further, the
configuration change resulting from PPC 26 was developed by, and is
currently available to, Allison Engine Company. For subcontracting
