given that the Tri-County Metropolitan District of Oregon (Tri-Met)
will receive qualifications for Tri-Met's Westside Light Rail Project,
710 N.E. Holladay Street, Portland, Oregon 97232, Attention: Ann
McFarlane, Contracts Administrator. Qualifications will be evaluated
after the below times and dates for: Washington Park Station and Tunnel
Finishes, RFQ No. 96-0570R/WCO501, due at 2:00 p.m., Pacific Time,
November 14, 1995. Qualified firms will be selected via weighted
criteria as cited in the RFQ document. Standard criteria includes, but
is not limited to relevant experience, past performance, and
availability of key personnel equipped to manage a complex
multi-million dollar project. Only those firms selected will receive a
Request for Proposals (RFP). The successful proposer shall be required
to comply with all applicable Equal Opportunity and DBE laws and
regulations. A DBE goal will be assigned and will be announced at the
time Tri-Met issues its Request for Proposals (RFP) during the second
phase of this procurement. All respondents shall be required to certify
that they are not on the Comptroller General's list of ineligible
contractors. The Tri-County Metropolitan Transportation District of
Oregon does not discriminate with regard to race, color, creed, sex or
national origin. The Request for Qualifications documents may be
obtained upon request from the Contracts Department or by calling Maria
at (503) 239-6775. Tri-Met may reject any proposal not in compliance
with all prescribed public contracting Procedures and requirements, and
may reject for good cause any or all proposals upon a finding by
