COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF OCTOBER 24,1995 PSA#1458United States Property and Fiscal Office for Ohio, 2811 West Dublin
Granville Road, Room 211, Columbus, Ohio 43235-2712 89 -- PROVIDE SUBSISTENCE Contact Point: CMSGT Carl K. Roshong (614)
766-7596. The Ohio National Guard, requires Subsistence (Food) on a one
(1) year trial basis, for Army National Guard units located in the
Southwest corridor of the state. This represents approximately 1400
soldiers. Performance during this period will be used to determine the
feasibility of expanding the program in future years to include the
entire Ohio Army National Guard or approximately 10,000 soldiers. It is
intended that this contract will require a strong partnering
relationship between the Ohio National Guard and the successful
contractor/s. Potential suppliers are to furnish their proposals for
providing subsistence items as described below to locations throughout
the southwest part of the state of Ohio during dates and times
indicated. The period covered will be January 1, 1996 through September
30, 1996 with consideration by the Government to exercise option years
beyond the first year. First consideration will be given to suppliers
who quote on all items listed as requested even if it requires picking
up items not normally carried in stock. If savings can accrue to the
government by considering alternative packaging eg. dried vs. frozen,
bulk vs. individual servings, fresh vs. frozen, pounds vs. units, paste
base vs, powder base, etc., the proposal should reflect the potential
savings as a separate alternative proposal. The vendor will be expected
to provide supporting price lists including appropriate discount sheet
and quantity breaks. These price lists will be used to establish the
pricing standard to be used which will be a part of the evaluation.
Other factors to be evaluated will be; time duration of replacing
unacceptable items/substitutes at no additional cost to the government,
any incentives to be offered to the government to offset any premium
prices paid for being forced to purchase locally through unavailability
of product from the successful supplier, and availability of suppliers
representative (point of contact). NOTE: government desires one point
of contact with appropriate authority to resolve all potential issues
associated with ordering, pricing and claims adjustments. Customer
service will be a major factor in considering an acceptable candidate
for award. The government may have some irrevocable requirements for
the use of specific forms. Another evaluation factor will be the
suppliers efforts in facilitating the integration of these forms into
its' own process. The range of this procurement is between $100,000.00
and $250,000.00. Proposals will be due on or about December 5, 1995.
Bid issue date is on or about November 5, 1995. Only written requests
for solicitations are acceptable, no fax or telephone requests will be
considered. (293) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0270 19951023\89-0001.SOL)
