59 -- CROSSED FIELD AMPLIFIERS SOL N00164-96-R-0007 POC Contact Barbara Kinder, Code 1163LJ, 812-854-3901, fax requests to 812-854-1841 This procurement is for production of Crossed Field Amplifiers (CFAs), manufactured in accordance with NAVSEA drawing 53711-6155761 Rev C, WS-21608, and SCN 1, and with NAVSURFWARCENDIV Statement of Work. Only the following sources are considered to be qualified and only they will be solicited: Litton Systems Incorporated, Electron Devices Division, 1035 Westminster Drive, Williamsport PA 17701, and Communications & Power Industries, Beverly Microwave Division, 150 Sohier Road, Beverly, MA 01915-5595. See Note 23. The basic quantity is for 350 each with one option of an additional 275 each and a second option for an additional 275 each. Required delivery of the basic shall be through November 1996 - October 1997 timeframe, with delivery of the first option through November 1997 - October 1998, and delivery of the third option through November 1998 - October 1999. The basic quantity is planned to be a shared procurement between the two qualified sources, with the quantities split based on the combination of price most advantageous to the Government. The option quantities are planned to be shared procurements with the quantities split based on a calculation combination of cost and quality and delivery data from the basic quantity. Delivery shall be FOB destination Crane, Indiana. This will be a sole source procurement. See Note 22. Solicitation N00164-96-R-0007 is anticipated to be issued on or around 06 December 1995, closing on or about 12 January 1996 (0292)
