U -- TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE IN SPECIALIZED TECHNICAL TRAINING SOL RS-AED-96-261 DUE 111595 POC Contact: Mary Jo Mattia, Contracting Officer, 301/415-7315 or Joanna Lilley, Contract Specialist, 301/415-6743 The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission intends to negotiate on a competitive basis a procurement for specialized technical training for NRC employees in areas such as nuclear power plant technology, welding and nondestructive examination technology, eddy current testing methodology, and training inspectors for the Resident/Senior Resident development program. In addition, technical assistance is required in the development and implementation of any identified programs to meet future needs for specialized technical training. On a delivery order basis the contractor shall be required to provide the necessary instructor personnel and, as required, the materials, facilities and services to provide the required training. The period of performance is five years. Proposals for this requirement may be submitted by all concerns, i.e., large businesses, small businesses and small businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals. Notice to large businesses: The subcontracting plan requirements of P.L. 95-507 are applicable to this effort. All large businesses in the competitive range must be prepared to submit a detailed subcontracting plan. A source list comprising of the names, addresses and telephone numbers of all concerns requesting a copy of the solicitation, with large businesses identified by an asterisk, will be provided with the solicitation. In order to identify large businesses on the list, a request for the solicitation should indicate the size of the business based upon SIC code 8999. The size standard for this solicitation is $3.5M. In order to allow small concerns sufficient time to contact you for possible subcontracting opportunities, you are encouraged to make your request for the solicitation prior to the solicitation issuance date. A copy of the solicitation and all subsequent amendments will be provided to each requester. Interested firms should submit written requests to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission at the address as shown above. Telephone requests will not be honored.
