A -- PREDATOR UAV KU-BAND SATCOM SYSTEM INTEGRATION POC Contact, LCDR Don Hertig, Phone (703)604-0757 The Naval Air Systems Command intends to issue an order under Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-95-G-0197 with General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Incorporated (GA-ASI), 10130 Sorrento Valley Road, San Diego, CA 92121-1604 for the integration of the multifunction self-aligned gate (MSAG) active array antenna with the Predator Medium Altitude Endurance Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (MAE UV) Ku-Band satellite data link (SDL) system. As the designer of the Predator system, GA-ASI is the only source with the technical expertise and information base required to meet the Government's needs in the timeframe available. The statutory authority permitting this sole source procurement is Title 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source.
