CANADA: OZONE-DEPLETING SUBSTANCES The following notification is being circulated in accordance with Article 10.6. G/TBT/Notif. 95.274. 1. Member to Agreement notifying: CANADA. If applicable, name of local government involved (Articles 3.2 and 7.2): 2. Agency responsible: Department of the Environment. 3. Notified under Article 2.9.2. 4. Products covered (HS or CCCN where applicable, otherwise national tariff heading. ICS numbers may be provided in addition, where applicable): Ozone-depleting substances. 5. Title and number of pages of the notified document: Ozone-depleting Substances Regulations (pages 3080-3143). 6. Description of content: It is proposed to repeal the Ozone-depleting Substances Regulations, made by Order in Council P.C. 1994-933 of 2 June 1994, and to make the annexed Regulations respecting the manufacture, use, sale, offer for sale, import and export of certain ozone-depleting substances, and amending the List of Toxic Substance in Schedule I to the canadian Environmental Protection Act, in substitution therefor. 7. Objective and rationale: Protection of the environmemt. 8. Relevant documents: Canada Gazette, Part 1, 2 September 1995. 9. Proposed date of adoption and entry into force: 1 January 1996. 10.
