(402)221-4266. The work will include the following: (Approx.
quantities) Construction of a one story, 25,000 SF facility consisting
of steel framed walls infilled with either window wall (glass) or
brick with metal stud backup. Roofing is a SBS modified bitumen roof
system on steel deck and steel bar joist supported by steel frame.
Reinforced concrete foundation and floor slabs. Primary HVAC system
consists of variable volume reheat system and central air handling
units, hot water heating coil, and 2-stage evaporative cooling section.
Primary heat source will be low temperature water (LTW) system
consisting of single gas fired boiler, a pair of primary circulation
pumps, a glycol hot water heat exchanger, and a single glycol hot water
circulation pump. Radiant floor heating is also required. The primary
cooling system consists of a 2-stage indirect/direct evaporative
cooling section with and indoor cooling tower. Electrical distribution
and lighting w/500KVA transformer (indoor, non-flammable oil).
Miscellaneous work includes: demolition of existing modular facilities,
sitework, landscaping, grading, lawn sprinkler system, bituminous
pavement, concrete curb and gutter and sidewalks, parking, parking and
area lighting, cathodic protection, piping, plumbing, communications,
utilities (gas, sanitary sewer, water, underground electrical), fire
detection and sprinkler system, playground equipment, kitchen
equipment, canvas awnings, insulation, gypsum wallboard, acoustical
ceiling tiles, carpeting, tile, doors, hardware, painting, and
finishes. The estimated construction cost of this project is between
$2,500,000 and $5,000,000. Contractor's Quality Control will be a
requirement in this contract. The Contractor will be required to
commence work within 10 days after notice to proceed and complete the
work 480 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Provisions
will be included for liquidated damages in case of failure to complete
the work in the time allowed. Performance and payment bonds will be
required. Bid sets will be available on/a November 7, 1995. Half-size
plans and specifications will be furnished upon request. All requests
for solicitation packages should be made in writing no later than 14
days prior to bid opening. After such time, packages will be furnished
if supply is available. It has been determined that the number of sets
be limited to 1 (one) per firm (additional copies will be the
responsibility of the requestor). Please list street address (for
