Sealed bids for award of a firm fixed price construction contract to replace booster pumps and equipment at the VA Medical Center, Louisville, Kentucky. Contractor shall furnish all labor, material, equipment, and supervision necessary for the replacement of booster pumps and equipment, including: new domestic water booster pumps with variable speed control system; new water storage tanks at 11th floor; modifications to hot water system; new anti-scald shower valves and trim; modifications/replacement of shower enclosures; new zone shutoff valves; removal of asbestos pipe insulation from 7th, 9th, 10th and 11th floors; piping, insulation controls, electrical and all other work as required by the drawings and specifications. Cost range is between $250,000 and $500,000. Requests for bid packages must be in writing and accompanied by a non-refundable $75.00 per set.
