This synopsis is published to determine the commercial availability of
laundry processing service for the Minneapolis VAMC. Unless potential
responsible firms can be identified with an interest in performing the
services, the VA will consider that adequate commercial sources do not
exist and no solicitation will be issued. In the event a solicitation
is issued, it will be subject to a government cost comparison to
determine the economic feasibility of performing the work in-house or
by contract. Contract award will depend upon the outcome of the cost
comparison study in accordance with Office of Management and Budget
(OMB) Circular A-76 Cost Comparison Handbook, Part 1, Chapter 2 in
addition to applicable acquisition regulations. Firms having the
ability to perform the required work are invited to submit a statement
of interest including a description of the firm's management,
personnel, previous experience on performing work of this or similar
nature, whether the firm is a small business concern, and certify that
all requirements can be met. Firms interested in providing this
service must respond in writing prior to November 15, 1995. Faxed
requests are NOT acceptable. This constitutes the first of three
notices. (0285) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0054 19951013\S-0001.SOL)
