The work will include the following: (Approx. quantities) New one story 4,165 SF fire station building incl: EPDM roof; steel columns, roof beams and joists; exterior masonry walls w/brick veneer; concrete slab-on-grade; interior finishes incl: gypsum wallboard, carpet, tile and acoustical ceiling; mechanical and electrical incl: plumbing, HVAC, lighting and fire protection. Site work incl: rough and finish site grading, utiltities, site landscaping, concrete paving adjacent to building and 2000 linear feet of 24 foot wide gravel and/or asphalt access road. The estimated construction cost of this project is between $1,000,000 and $2,500,000. Contractor's Quality Control will be a requirement in this contract. The Contractor will be required to commence work within 10 days after notice to proceed and complete the work 360 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Provisions will be included for liquidated damages in case of failure to complete the work in the time allowed. Performance and payment bonds will be required. Bid sets will be available on/a October 27, 1995. Half-size plans and specifications will be furnished upon request. All requests for solicitation packages should be made in writing no later than 14 days prior to bid opening. After such time, packages will be furnished if supply is available. It has been determined that the number of sets be limited to 1 (one) per firm (additional copies will be the responsibility of the requestor).
