426-3053 Contracting Officer Project generally consists of, but is not
limited to the following: Clear, grub, grade and excavate site for
DVOR facility. Furnish competent surveying resources to properly layout
the subject site and provide horizontal and vertical control. Work
includes locating DVOR antenna pedestals on the counterpoise. Grade and
surface a 20'x445' access road and 150'x150' plot using 12'' of crushed
limestone with geotextile membrane. Install a 20'x20'x4' stem wall with
strip footing with center grade beam for support of the concrete
equipment shelter. Work includes reinforcement, embedments and
knockouts. Install four 10'x10' spread footing with connecting grade
beam for the conventional steel counterpoise structure. Install 28
individual spread footings for support of the 25' counterpiose
extension. Upon cure of shelter foundation and completion of the site
rough surfacing, the contractor shall vacate the immediate site for a
period of 5 consecutive work days, to permit installation of the
precast concrete shelter by others. Upon cure of counterpoise footings,
install the conventional 52' diameter elevated steel counterpoise
including framing members, braces, deck sections and hardware.
Fabricate and install a 25' span extension to the conventional
counterpoise. Total diameter of the completed counterpoise shall be
102' diameter. Upon installation of the 102'diameter counterpoise,
install government furnished 16' fiberglass shelter. Work includes
assembly of all associated hardware and caulking of joints. Install 50
Doppler pedestals in the locations shown complete with mounting
brackets, conduit runs and junction boxes. Install earth electrode
grounding system complte with material, devices and hardware. Work
includes connection to the equipment grounding system. Install
step-up/step-down transformer configuration for supply of power to the
DVOR facility. Work includes the supply of 25KVA transformers. Install
fiberglass antenna mast. Work includes trenching and installation of
signal cable complete with terminations, enclosures, PVC and GRSC
exterior duct to antena mast. Install all required cable ladders, cable
trays, wireways, conduits fittings and components not specifically
noted as installed by others. Implement and maintain a quality control
plan to ensure contract compliance. Conduct all reuired tests and
