The Navy Center for Applied Research in Artificial Intelligence (NCARAI) located at the Naval Research Laboratory (NRL), Washington, DC has a requirement for librarian support of library management tasks. These tasks include, but are not limited to, cataloging text using the On-line Computer Library Center cataloging system, transferring text to the NCARAI library database on a Sun Workstation, updating technical reports, providing acquisition services for the library, providing Inter-Library Loan services, providing circulation and bibliographic services, maintaining on-line catalog databases of texts and on-line files of reports, maintaining inventory of all Apple and PC software distribution media and documentation received or installed at the NCARAI, and publishing annual reports of all publications of NCARAI's parent unit, the Information Technology Division. All work is on-site at the Naval Research Laboratory's NCARAI's facility. It is anticipated that this work will require the services of one full time person for library management tasks and a part-time administrator. A Labor Hour type contract is anticipated. The statement of work will be included with the solicitation package. The period of performance is for 12 months from contract award plus four additional 12 month options.
