Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM) intends to issue a solicitation for two (2) each 28 Track Magnetic Tape Recorder/Reproducers, 2MHz Bandwidth; features includes: Reproduce heads only, 14 track reproducing and recording capablities, Reproduce forward and reverse, Fast forward and fast reverse speeds, Operator selectable tape transport speeds of 120, 60, 30, and 15 inches per second, Servo controlled tape speed accuracy of 0.1 percent compared to internal reference, and within 0.01 percent compared to a reference frequency recorded on tape, 14 inch tape reels handling capabilities, Mode control, shuttle, and tape speed selection on the remote control panel, Shuttle operation to play between operator selected point, Front mounted switches, monitors, meters, and gain controls, Footage/elapse time counter meter, Remote control panel to fit a standard 19 inch rack mount, Sensor for beginning and end of tape to override the play and fast commands, and automatically stop the tape transport, Nominally 60Hz, 120 volts AC power, Nominally 72 degrees at 50 percent humidity environmental requirement, single cabinet containment of the recorder/reproducers (except for remote control), Manufacturer performed on site installation, initial power up, and systems check, and Operator and maintenance manuals. These recorder/reproducers will be used at U. S. Army National Ground Intelligence Center, Charlottesville, VA.
