The Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) plans to issue Request for Quote RFQ5-44328/992 on a sole source basis to Faraday Labs, Inc., for the purchase of six flight qualified temperature controlled quartz crystal microbalance (TQCM) sensors (Model 79-T) and five heat sinks (Model 82-CA) for space flight use. The TQCM sensors must be compatible and interchangable with existing currently configured Faraday systems presently used at GSFC to monitor contaminiation on ground and flight instruments. Faraday Labs, Inc., has been chosen because the TQCM sensors and heat sinks are proprietary to Faraday Labs, Inc. Any other firms desiring consideration must provide a written technical narrative statement of their capability, including detailed technical information and other technical literature demonstrating their ability to meet the above requirements within 15 days of the publication of this notice to the address above.
