other information. Contracting Officer, Linda Hales Project consists of
a new single story Fire Station, including the demolition/removal of
two existing structures (B530 and B866). Fire Station shall have;
concrete footing, concrete slab floor, split-faced concrete masonry
unit walls and a pitched tile roof system (with fascia). The Fire
Station shall include; vehicle stalls, living quarters (sleeping area,
restroom, dining area, kitchen and leisure space), office, utility
space and storage. Provide all necessary utilities, emergency
generator, paving, lighting, patio area, parking, basketball court,
volleyball area, landscaping and building support. Demolition design
shall be included. This procurement will be conducted under SIC code:
1542. The size standard for this SIC code is: $17.0 million. NOTE:
Standard bid opening time is NOW 1:00 (1300 hrs). Make note on your
solicitation package. Large busines competing for this project must
comply with the FAR 52.219-9 clause regarding the requirement for a
subcontracting plan on the part of the work it intends to subcontract.
The recommended goals for subcontracting are 52.5% for small business,
8.8% for small disadvantaged business, and 3.0% for small
business/woman-owned. A firm that submits a plan with lesser goals must
submit written rationale to support goals submitted. Estimated cost is
between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Plans and specifications will be
available on or about 6 Nov 95. There is no charge for specifications
or drawings; however, only one set is available per offerer. Requests
may be submitted by mail or in person to USAED Sacramento, Attn: Plan
Room, 1325 J Street, Sacramento, CA, 95814-2922. Do not address to
contract specialist for this will delay your order. Requests should
reach this office by 20 Oct 95 to ensure receipt of bid sets. Bid sets
are limited and will be issued until supply is exhausted. Firms are
