S -- ANNUAL CERTIFICATION, TESTING AND REPAIRS OF BACKFLOW PREVENTION DE VICES SOL N62474-95-B-4733 POC Jessica Montes, Contract Specialist (805) 989-1018/Patricia Martonick, Contracting Officer, Code 833120E (805) 989-1378. The contractor shall provide all labor, management, supervision, tools, parts, materials, equipment, and transportation necessary to perform testing, certification, repairs and alterations to Backflow Prevention Devices (BPD's). All Field Testing, Certification, cleaning, adjustments, repair kit installation and service call work shall be performed under the Firm Fixed Price (FFP) portion of the contract. Replacement devices, repairs, parts, alterations, and materials in excess of FFP limits, shall be provided under the Idefinite Quantity portion of the contract. All work under this contract is located at NAWS, Point Mugu, CA and San Nicolas Island (SNI). NAWS and its complexes are located at Camarillo Airport, Laguna Peak, and the Military Family Housing area located in the City of Camarillo. NAWS is located on the coast approximately 90 miles north of Los Angeles, CA. San Nicolas Island is located off the coast 85 miles south of NAWS, Point Mugu, CA. The NAWS compleses are located within 15 miles of Point Mugu. The Government will provide transportation of personnel and equipment to and from San Nicolas Island at no cost to the Contractor. The Standard Industrial Classification Code (SIC) is 1711; the small business size standard is $7.0 million. The proposed solicitation listed herein is being considered for 100% Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) set-aside. Interested SDB concerns should, as early as possible but not later than 15 days after the appearance of this notice, indicate interest in the acquisition by providing to the Contracting Office above in writing or by facsimile (805)986-2464 the following: 1)evidence of capability to perform, including name and telephone number of references on similar type projects performed in the last three years; 2)a positive statement of eligibility as a small socially and economically disadvantaged business concern; 3)Proof of qualifications of a certified backflow prevention device tester and repair vendor licensed by the County of Ventura, CA; 4)Proof of notice of intet to bid the solicitation. If adequate interest is not received from SDB concerns, the solicitation will be issued as unrestricted for full and open competition, without further notice.
