The Coastal Systems Station, Dahlgren Division, NSWC intends to obtain service for on-site maintenance of existing Government-owned Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC) computer systems hardware and other third-party computer systems hardware. It is anticipated that this will be a firm fixed-price contract for a base period and two option years. The following is a partial list of the type of hardware requiring maintenance: DEC Alphaserver 8400, 2100, and 1000; DEC 3000 workstations; VAX 6310; VAXstation 4000 and 3100; DEC laser printers; DEC TL820 tape silo; SUN Sparc workstations; SGI workstations; Tektronix color printers; and disk and tape devices and network products. A full list of all Government-owned equipment needing maintenance will be provided as part of the solicitation. Telephone support and remote diagnostics are required. Contractor must hold a Secret facility clearance (no safeguarding) certified by the Defense Investigative Service. Hardware maintenance will be performed at the equipment location FOB Destination. The majority of this equipment is located within the confines of CSS; other locations include Yorktown, VA, Ft. Walton, FL, Panama City, FL, Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and Dahlgren, VA.
