The Bureau of Prisons, South Central Regional Office, Dallas, Texas, plans to issue solicitation IFB 149-0066 for the removal and installation of new owner furnished barbed tape for the Federal Correctional Institution, Texarkana, Texas. The successful contractor will be required to furnish all labor and equipment to remove all existing barbed tape on existing perimeter fences (remove approximately 12,000 L.F. of 24'' reinforced, 6,000 L.F. of non-reinforced and 6,000 L.F. of 48'' reinforced). Install new owner furnished barbed tape (install approximately 24,000 L.F. of 30'' reinforced and 36,000 L.F. of 30'' non-reinforced) and install wire ties and ground stakes on new fences. The estimated magnitude of this contract is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. The solicitation package will be available on or about October 12, 1995 with an anticipated bid opening on or about November 14, 1995.
