This directorate intends to issue Invitation for Bid (IFB) F29650-95-B0033 on or about 25 Oct 95. Responses will be due approximately thirty (30) days thereafter. The proposed procurement listed herein is full and open competition, however, the Government reserves the right to consider this acquisition for the 8(a) program based on responses to this synopsis. The magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00 for a basic and two one-year option periods. Contractors must indicate their size qualifications under SIC 1711, size standard $7.0. The work effort includes repair/replacement of steam and condensate piping, steam system valves, meters, steam traps, expansion bellows, removal and disposal of asbestos insulation, installation of cathodic protection anodes and bonds, and the installation of dielectric flanges. Please note that funds for issuing delivery orders are not presently available, however, they have been requested. This IFB is based upon your understanding that (1) funds are not available and (2) if funds do not become available, no obligation will be incurred by the Government because of this IFB.
