Architect Engineer Services for preliminary design of a 13,000 square foot clinical addition at the VA Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. Upon completion of Design Development, the VA reserves the option of awarding full design and construction period services. Applicants should be multi-discipline with a proven track record in health care facility design. Accurate cost estimating from conceptual through construction is essential. Scope of services includes working with medical center staff to develop project scope, space needs, budget, and preparation of Design Development documents. Factors considered in selection include specialized experience, location, past performance, and abilities. All design work shall be completed via AutoCad. Construction cost range between $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. Area of consideration is restricted to the state of Iowa. Firms desiring consideration should submit a written request and completed SF 254/255. Firms having current 254 on file need only submit a SF 255 and written request to be considered.
