24 -- SNOW TRACTOR-FULL TRACKED SOL 51WCNW606019JD DUE 110795 POC Joseph D'Felio (816) 426-7267 x225 The U.S. Department of Commerce, NOAA is considering a procurement for a self-propelled full-track over-snow type vehicle for the transportation of personnel and equipment. This vehicle will be operated under varying conditions from level bare ground to cross country travel in rough mountainous terrain usually covered with snow, but sometimes bare, muddy or rocky. Such travel will involve surmounting barriers such as rocks, steep terrain and slopes not always surmountable by conventionally geared pickup trucks under dry, bare ground conditions. The vehicle must be new, be of proven design and of current model year with a minimum of four production units in the past 24 months. Vehicle spare parts must be readily available. Bid documents will be available on or about October 5, 1995. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency.
