The U.S. Army ARDEC has a requirement for 247,444 each complete MK399 MOD1 PD/Delay Fuzes to be used for testing and WARS assets, and 195,000 FMU-153/B Point Detonating/Delay Fuzes. The MK399 MOD1 PD/Delay Fuze is a combination of two (2) proven fuze designs; the MK399 MOD0 and the MK407 MOD1 PD/Delay fuzes. The combination is the packaging of the internal components from the MK407 MOD1 into the body of the MK399 MOD0. The FMU 153/B fuze is basically the same as the MK399 MOD1 except for a heavier nose section. This fuze will be used in Air Force 105mm weapons against ground targets. Respondents are required to submit a written request for a copy of the solicitaion. Official requests can be faxed to (201) 724-4043.
