The Department of the Treasury, Departmental Offices intends to issue a delivery order against an existing Library of Congress, FEDLINK Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA), for commercial on-line database information retrieval services. Using FEDLINK BOAs, federal agencies may obtain database retrieval services directly from commercial services. These BOAs offer substantial price discounts not otherwise available to individual customers. FEDLINK operates under the Library of Congress Delegation of Procurement Authority, granted by the General Services Administration. Arrangements for the initiation and payment of services will be granted by an interagency agreement, executed by Department of the Treasury and Library of Congress. The Delivery Order will be issued under the interagency agreement with LEXIS/NEXIS. Service is to be provided at the Department of the Treasury, 1500 Pennsylvania Ave. NW, Washington, DC 20220. This synopsis is a notice of intent and should not be considered a Request for Quotations. No solicitation document will be issued as a result of this synopsis. WRITTEN RESPONSES SHOULD INCLUDE PRICES AND TECHNICAL DATA SUFFICIENT TO DETERMINE CAPABILITY. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future.
