NAVSTAR GLOBAL POSITIONING SYSTEM USER EQUIPMENT - The Global Positioning System (GPS) Joint Program Office (JPO) will be hosting a Selective Availability Anti-Spoofing Module (SAASM) summit on 7-9 Nov 95 at the Aerospace Corporation, Building A-8, in El Segundo, CA. Government and industry participants must receive prior approval through the GPS Joint Program Office (JPO). The GPS SAASM will be the next generation Precise Positioning Service (PPS) security module. The SAASM will be a single tamper-resistant multi-chip module (MCM) that incorporates all GPS selective availability (SA), anti-spoofing (A-S), and electronic keying functions for PPS Host Application Equipment (HAE). The SAASM will protect all classified GPS algorithms, data, and associated timing used to derive the GPS PPS position-velocity-time (PVT) solution. The SAASM will provide a means for customization of application specific hardware and software. Application specific requirements will be defined either by the SAASM or HAE developer in compliance with applicable HAE specifications.
