The 30th Space Wing intends to release a draft solicitation for Land Mobile Radio (LMR) services contract at Vandenberg AFB CA on 19 Sep 95. This acquisition will be a full and open competition. Offerors must be certified by the LMR industry and be experienced in correcting malfunctions in Motorola Secure Smartnet II Trunking Radio System, or equivalent system, that includes trunking central controller, trunking telephone interconnect, dispatch consoles, trunking repeaters and base stations with National Security Agency (NSA) approved Type 1 Fascinator encryption devices. One-one-one discussions on the draft RFP are tentatively scheduled for 5 Oct 95 with prospective offerors.
