C -- AMBULATORY CARE ADDITION POC Contracting Officer, Dannie Jennings, (716)344-3308 Provide A/E Services for Project No. 513-366, Ambulatory Care Addition, at the VA Medical Center, Batavia, New York. A/E Services may include schematics, design development, construction documents, construction administration, and post-construction services. Construction documents must be provided within 90 to 120 days after contract award. The proposed contract may either cover all of the A/E Services, or it may include schematics, design development, and an option that the Government may exercise for the remaining A/E services. This project involves the construction of a new 4,775 SF ambulatory care addition. Work includes, but is not limited to, a new HVAC system system and controls, electrical systems, medical gases, sprinkler system, fire alarm system, sitework, concrete and masonry, and plumbing system. A/E selection evaluation factors include: (i) background and previous experience of team proposed for this project; (ii) proposed management plan; (iii) location and facilities of working offices for prime firm and consultants; (iv) present proposed design approach for this project; (v) cost control; (vi) estimating effectiveness; (vii) schedule control; (viii) experience and capabilities associated with specialized experience, computer aided design and drafting, other computer applications, energy conservation, and, (ix) Miscellaneous (Awards received for design excellence, circumstances and outcome of any litigation over the last five years; type and amount of liability insurance). The specialized experience applies to projects at a medical facility, including the full range of A/E Services. Magnitude of construction cost range is between $500,000 and $1.0 Million. applies.
