The project shall include replacment of the existing air handler, ductwork, ceiling, lights and kitchen hood exhaust system located in Bldg. 5, Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Battle Creek, Michigan. Both systems will be connected to the Medical Center's energy management system, eliminating existing air balance problems. Abatement of the asbestos contained in the attic of the building will also be included. In addition, the existing refrigerant system supplying the refrigerators in the building will be replaced. This will include the removal of all existing condensers, compressors and priping, reclamation of the existing freon refrigerant, and installlation of a new non CFC refrigerant. The cost range for construction is $500,000 and $1,000,000. Interested firms must submit Standar Form 254, A/E and Related Services Questionnaire and Standard Form 255, A/E Questionnaire for Specific Project by 4:30 p.m., local time, October 10, 1995.
