The Defense Evaluation Support Activity intends to issue an IFB for the purchase of one (1) Open VMS Server System, 275-MHZ. The server system requires a DEC Alpha motherboard or equivalent with minimum configuration of 2 MB Cache, 1 ea., 3.5'' floppy drive, 1 ea., 2 GB internal SCSI Hard drive, 1 ea., 10-Base-T Ethernet w/RJ45 connector, 1 ea., 64 MB RAM, 1 ea., 4mm-8GB tape backup unit, 1 ea., Quad Speed CD-ROM, 1 ea., 15 inch SVGA monitor with video card, 1 ea., keyboard, 1 ea., mouse, 1 ea., 60 GB RAID (level 0) tower with redundant power supply, 1 ea. The 60 GB RAID tower must be compatible with the Open VMS Server System. In addition, a 3-year minimum on-site service agreement is required which must include a 48 hour normal and a 24 hour emergency response and turnaround time on service calls and trained and certified service technicians. All software and hardware must be pre-configured/installed prior to delivery. Include with your bid any existing system documentation or literature. Bids must also include all technical equipment specifications and maintenance plan terms and conditions. A single award, fixed-price contract is anticipated.
