Desired features include conversation Thread with support for a minimum of 12 levels of replies, information overload prevention with navigation tools and ability to customize new documents notification with one button, rich text content and embedded objects, e-mail shortcuts to hotlink directly from mail into documents, draft documents, personal and public document templets, and policy-based administration. Both rollout and long term maintenance costs must be kept to a minimum by building upon the existing e-mail system. Multiple locations must be connected with store-and-forwarding messaging based replication. Administrators require centralized management of users, forums, and replication.
