Contractor to furnish and install a Nurse Advice System that covers pediatric, adult, women's health, and behavioral health, including all hardware and software necessary to operate the system. The Contractor must also provide on-site training for two (2) nurses in the use of the system. The protocols in the software program and the system must provide for the following: 1) a step-by-step system that is ``user friendly'', clinically comprehensive and updated annually with current proven medical technology; 2) capable of being modified to reflect clinically appropriate changes/standards after review by the Bassett Army community Hospital medical staff; 3) capable of documenting each patient encounter both electronically in the system, and by quality hard copy (paper printout) that can be included in the patient's official record; 4) immediate identification of emergency and urgent situations and allow the nurse to triage the patient to the appropriate care; and, 5) automatically provide a signal which notifies the nurse to call a patient back if that was the course of action given for a previous call. Computer system and software must be capable of expansion at a future date. The system shall be ``First Help'' by Informed Access Systems, Boulder, Colorado, or an equal that meets the stated requirements. The requirement listed herein is 100% set-aside for small business.
