The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to award a Cost-Plus-Fixed- Fee Contract for the refurbishment of an AN/SPS-52C Radar and spares for Royal Thai Navy (RTN) and Options for another refurbished radar, refurbished miscellaneous equipment (two IP-1117s, one SB-2780 and one CV-3053), an O&M Training Course and Contractor Field Engineering Services to Hughs Technical Services Company of Long Beach, CA. Hughs is the original equipment manufacturer and sole producer of the AN/SPS-52C radar and is the only firm with the in-depth knowledge of the design, repair, installation, training and maintenance of the radar system and its associated components. No other source has the technical qualifications and the necessary resources to perform the work described herein, nor will any other supplies or services satisfy the Navy's requirements in a timely manner.
