3398 A -- ANTI-BALLISTIC MISSILE (ABM) AND THEATER MISSILE DEFENSE (TMD)
INTERCEPTOR TECHNICAL ASSESSMENT SOL DNA001-95-R-0062 DUE 102095 POC
Sandy Bednoski, Negotiator, (703) 325-6762, Edward Archer, Contracting
Officer, (703) 325-5028. The Defense Nuclear Agency (DNA) has a
requirement for a contractor to: 1) identify the analytic tools and
methodologies used by DoD and DoD contractors to determine the
capability of ballistic missile interceptors; 2) evaluate each analytic
tool to determine how it handles ''one-on-one'' and ''n-on-n''
engagements and the sensitivity of the tool to specified variables; 3)
assess if the differences in results for any two interceptors are
adequate to distinguish between systems with ABM capabilities and those
with only TMD capabilities; 4) identify alternative approaches for
distinguishing between ABM and TMD capabilities, if focusing on
interceptor capabilities is inadequate to distinguish ABM systems from
TMD systems; 5) determine the practicality of and notional methodology
for exchanging interceptor and target telemetry data; and 6) determine
the relationship between the variables - operational concept, C3I
system and scenario - and the ease/difficulty of identifying and
tracking TMD interceptors. Those companies wishing to receive a copy of
the RFP must submit a request in writing, including a point of contact,
phone number, fax number, and mailing address to Sandy Bednoski. Faxed
requests are welcome and should be addressed to Sandy Bednoski at
(703) 325-9291. Faxed requests do not need to be followed with mailed
originals. Telephone requests will not be accepted. For information,
contact Sandy Bednoski at (703) 325-6762. Information on DNA
solicitations, already released, can be obtained by calling the DNA
Hotline at (703) 325-1173. Reference Synopsis No. 95-86 (0248) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0003 19950906\A-0003.SOL)
