remarks: The pharmacoeconomic Center (PEC) is reviewing information to
develop analytic methodologies to evaluate the treatment of pediatric
and adult asthmain the Military Health service system. Manufacturers
of products used for the treatment of asthma are invited to present
pharmacoeconomic information to the PEC. This information will assist
indeveloping an evaluation Model for the Tri-service formulary. Types
of information being reviewed include head to head effectiveness
studies of competing therapies, pharmacoeconomic and/orquality of life
studies of asthma, pharmaco-epidemiological information or studies of
asthma, patient outcomes studies, pharmacoeconomic modeling ofasthma,
and any unpublished data relevant to the treatment of asthma. Up to
one hour is the preferred length of a presentation; not more than two
hours will be allotted for a presentation. Each manufacturer will be
limited to one presentation on asthma. Firms who made presentations on
asthmaafter January 1995 do not need to submit additionalinformation.
