Pfeiffer Provide all labor, material, equipment, transportation, and supervision necessary to reroof the USCG MAT Building on the New Bedford State Pier, New Bedford, MA (Bristol County). Work includes the following and incidental related work: Remove and dispose of 4,320 sq. ft. of existing built-up roofing, including flashing, gravel stop, gutters, downspouts, blocking and 4 1/2 inch thick insulation. Provide and install approx. 4,320 sq. ft. of new fully adhered reinforced single ply EPDM roofing, including new blocking, a new aluminum roof edge, new gutters, new downspouts, new splash guards, new flashing (including flashing at all existing roof penetrations), and new 4 1/2 inch thick insulation. Remove and reinstall existing TV antenna. Protect existing items to remain, such as rooftop penetrations/equipment, roof deck, walls, doors, and windows. Estimated cost of this project is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. Award subject to availability of funds. Solicitation packages to be available on or about September 20, 1995. This procurement is unrestricted and is being issued pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration program. THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES FOR MINORITY, WOMAN OWNED, AND DISADVANTAGED ENTERPRISES: The Department of Transportation (DOT) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Utilization (OSDBU), has programs to assist minority, woman-owned, and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short term working capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, payment, and performance bonds up to 1.0 million per contract. Te DOT provides an 80% guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
